UPDATED – 15th JULY 2020
Following our partial re-opening in June and as the UK government continues to slowly re-open the country, we have decided to fully re-open our studio facilities. The health and well-being of narrators and our team is a key priority, so we wanted to set out how we will be approaching things from August 2020.
As required by law, in partnership with our site-owners, we have assessed the risk of returning to work while the Coronavirus outbreak is ongoing and have put steps in place to manage that risk (please see our Risk Assessment PDF – Ladbroke-Audio-COVID-19-Risk-Assessment-July 15th-2020). We have implemented additional cleaning, hand-washing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance and have taken all reasonable steps to help the team continue to work from home and, when on site at the studios, to maintain a 2m distance.
During June and July we only operated STUDIO 1, run by Managing Director Neil Gardner, and this only when home recording was an impossibility. Studio 2 will re-open from the 27th July. Each studio will only host one title per week allowing time for the facilities to be cleaned and disinfected between jobs/narrators. Only the narrator and producer will be allowed to attend (no guests/clients/authors). When running concurrently, the two studios will remain separated and no direct interaction between the studios will be allowed. We will also be requesting narrators to bring their own lunch where possible (although the on-site cafe has reopened and offers take-away lunches), as well as recommending they bring their own gloves/masks, ipads/tablets (and headphones if they would prefer).
We will also request narrators/visitors only travel to our facilities by car (we have plenty on free on-site parking) or where a taxi service is provided by the client, wherever possible.
Thank you for your patience and continued support. We’d be very happy to talk you through any of the above in more detail so please call or email neilg@ladbrokeaudio.com. As we move forward, we will keep everyone updated with what we’re up to at the studios and how we’re continuing to deliver award-winning high-quality audiobooks. We will be re-examining the situation throughout August 2020.
