Since September 2015, we’ve had the immense honour of recording the NRSV edition of the English language Bible for the fabulous folk at SPCK Publishing. Over 1200 pages of text, 18 days of recording, 40 days (appropriately) of editing…this has been one truly epic audio adventure.
So, who was the brave soul to attempt to read the entire Bible from start to finish? It could be only one man…John Banks! Known best for his audio work with the likes of Big Finish and Games Workshop, John is an immensely experienced and talented audiobook narrator, and he brings a soft warmth to his performance of the Bible, an engaging and trusting voice that brings character where needed and an honest and intelligent reading of this all-important book.
We can’t thank SPCK enough for bringing us this once-on-a-lifetime opportunity. Audiobooks don’t come any more important than this!
